Copy of Affidavit, Showing Land Grants to Colonel Joseph Hardin, Tennessee

Know all men by these presents that I, W. B. Leech, attorney-at-law, address 916 Independent Life Building, Nashville, hereby certify and make oath that I have examined the records of the North Carolina Military Grants Entries and Warrants, on file in the State Land Office at Nashville Tennessee and I find recorded the following to Joseph Hardin Sr. in Book “North Carolina Grants” Nos. 1 to 2662, also Book “A” page 30 N. C. Military Grants 1788-1803:

Also Grant No. 317 for 400 acres, marked “withdrawn” I, also, find on said records that Joseph Hardin Jr. by warrant No. 2128 was granted 1,000 acres on May 10, 1784. I also find that John Hardin in Book “A” page 3 was granted 1,000 acres July 10, 1788.
